Outreach & Events
Injury Prevention Programs
Injury prevention outreach programs are key to the work undertaken by the Pediatric Trauma Program. These events are designed to educate children, parents and community members on a wide range of injury prevention techniques. Our efforts to provide outreach programs continually evolve to meet the changing trends of traumatic injuries and the needs of our community's children. Our programs are free, but you can support us by making a gift here.
Car Seat Checks
Caregivers work one on one with a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and learn how to safely install their car seat into their vehicles, as well as how to appropriately buckle children into car seats. Car seat checks are by appointment only and last approximately 30 minutes per child. Car seats may be available for those who qualify.
